What is Solid Edge?

Solid Edge is based on the Parasolid modelling kernel and offers sophisticated design tools as well as numerous other functions. The integrated FEM module is certainly worthy of mention. Furthermore, it has FEA functionality (e.g. for simulations) and the possibility to design and calculate mechanical components such as gear wheels or camshafts and to carry out flow simulations. The programme also offers a possibility to create technical documentation in a plant.
