What is SolidWorks?

Solidworks is certainly one of the best-known 3D CAD modelling environments. In each of the versions of Solidworks, assemblies, drawings and components are created on the basis of parametric models. The generated models can still be changed afterwards due to the principle of modularisation (alignment of elements and dimensions to each other) and the individual steps (features).
