What is Inventor?

The all-round application from Autodesk still impresses today with a well-structured user interface and a tidy toolbox. The application-oriented 3D CAD software solution was specially designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized mechanical engineering and steel construction companies. he functional principle relies on modelling elements that parametrically generate 3D objects. The modelling steps, also called elements, are stored individually and assigned to an assembly (with so-called dependencies). The advantage of this method is that the individual parameters (e.g. dimensions) of a component or an assembly can be changed subsequently.
