Field service management stands for optimising the deployment planning of a company's mobile resources to handle services or maintenance orders. Mobile resources include internal and external technicians on site, vehicles, production factors and other tools or machines. Dispatchers are the central point in Field Service Management. They optimise, for example, the route planning of the technicians by taking into account the optimal utilisation and cost ratio. The integration of external technicians into the process is also necessary in many cases.
